Hope to meet up with you guys on a Mazama hike sometime! I’m doing one this Sunday: an 18 miler up Larch Mtn via Rock of Ages. Check out their website and you can print off the monthly hiking schedule. Nice blog. I love birds too! I need to take my camera w/me so I can be prepared to take pics! We had 2 HUGE bald eagles in our backyard at our cabin in Bend one day…they were squawking like banshees–really noisy! And they were so close–it was amazing.
